Writing a Sea Creature Narrative

This week we have been talking about narratives. Narratives are stories and we have been looking out for the introduction, problem and solution that is in most stories. Yesterday the children decided what the main character would be in their own narrative. They drew their character and gave it a name. Today they wrote a narrative about their character. They introduced their character in the first paragraph. In the second paragraph, each story told about a problem and in the last paragraph the problem was somehow solved. Well done on lots of creative thinking and writing in 1B! Here is Grace's narrative about Billie the Sea Jelly and Lucy's narrative about Shiler the Stonefish. Premier's Reading Challenge Update

Congratulations to Adam, Emma, Indy, Katie, Finn, Ben and Lucy who have all completed the Victorian Premier's Reading Challenge! I know some of you are going on to tackle the Super Duper Reading Challenge, which involves reading 100 books! Indy is the leader so far with 56 books read and logged onto the website. Well done also to Riley, Chelsea, Connor, Kailan and Jess who have been logging on books and will soon finish the main challenge. Keep up the great reading everyone!
