We Can Fill Buckets...

Today we read Fill A Bucket which is a lovely book that talks about how everyone has an invisible bucket (even our pets!). A bucket is easy to fill with good feelings. We talked about how filling someone else's bucket is easy and rewarding. The great feeling of helping someone else or being a good friend means that our own bucket is filled as well.

What is a sentence?

We are talking about capital letters and the times to use them, full stops, spaces between words and whether it makes sense! Also, even though sometimes we see it in books, it is not good writing to start a sentence with "and". Have a look at the activity we did earlier in the week about Bobby (you may have heard of our class mascot). Riley's work is here to show you. Then, we had a go at writing our own sentences about ourselves. See Chelsea's below. Everyone is working really hard in writing to have the correct punctuation. It is wonderful to see that so many students love to write.

Neat and Tidy!

I have already noticed that this class is extremely good at packing up after themselves and helping others to pack up quickly. It is so lovely to look at the lockers and see that nothing needs picking up! A big thank you to parents and past teachers for setting out the importance of this, and of course the students themselves for keep everything neat and tidy. Keep up the wonderful work 1B!
